Welcome to the newest free standing website from South Central Radio Group. As a 3rd generation privately owned radio company, we fly in the face of the ‘bigger is better’ corporate thinking prevalent in our industry today. We think 'better is better'. Our stations in Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee and in Evansville, Indiana are leaders in their market and proud to be serving and assisting community non profit organizations and their causes for many years. We do it with exceptional people passionate about making a difference every day for our listeners and advertisers.
South Central Radio Group in Evansville has been focused on the community for 59 years. South Central Radio Group shares the same values as the United Way of Southwestern Indiana, Prairie Farms Dairy, and Chick-fil-A and has joined forces with them to highlight the efforts of those who are making a difference in our communities. Research indicates that people get great satisfaction from giving back to the community. Many are not able to give through monetary donations, but are looking for ways to donate their time. As partners we will make it easy for the community to find the right volunteer opportunities for their needs, while at the same time highlighting the ongoing commitment to our community South Central Radio Group has shown over the past 50 years.
Volunteer Evansville Tristate is an online web based program designed to encourage our community to volunteer their time and help out those less fortunate. This will be an annual campaign that will display various needs of the organizations that post throughout the year. South Central radio stations will also be used to educate the community on volunteer opportunities and upcoming events of the nonprofit organizations and then direct the community to use volunteerevanville.com to find out more.
The United Way of Southwestern Indiana, Prairie Farms Dairy and Chick-fil-A are pleased to partner with South Central Communications to provide a new program that focuses on volunteerism in our community. Investing in our community through volunteerism is a service that many people can provide. Through this partnership, we can improve our community and together create lasting change for good.
It is a fact that 44% of volunteers do so because someone asked them…. South Central Radio Group is asking you to lend a hand, give a little of your time and your expertise by volunteering. Together we can make a difference in the community!
