Komen for the Cure® teams up with ACH Food Companies, Inc. for the 2008 Bake for the Cure®! “The Evansville Affiliate could win as much as $10,000 for breast health programs to be used in our area. Simply go online to www.bakeforthecure.com and share, download or exchange your recipe. Each recipe nets 10 points! Across the country, men and women are gearing up for the baking season and grocers everywhere have made it easier than ever to purchase the products you need with the pink ribbon symbol. Simply go online to register the purchase for points. Each purchase nets 25 points! The contest will run through December 31, 2008. So Bake for the Cure® and win our Affiliate an extra $10,000!

The Reitz Home Preservation Society brings you a Victorian Christmas. “We Can’t Wait: Christmas 1898”, now through January 4. Area designers have decorated the rooms and each room has a special theme and exhibits. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $2.50 for students, and $1.50 for children 12 and under. Hours are Tuesdays thru Saturdays, 11 to 4, Sundays, 1 – 4. They are closed on Mondays, & holidays. 812-426-1871

Greenriver Kiwanis is selling Poinsettia's to fund our children's programs. It is their largest fundraiser of the year. Red, white, and pink poinsettias for $10 each. Orders must be received by Tuesday November 25th for delivery on December 2nd, by December 3rd for delivery on December 6th, and by December 10th for delivery on December 13th.  Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights      (Holiday Events)

Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights to benefit Easter Seals, Thanksgiving (Nov. 27, 2008) through Jan. 4, 2009. Sun.-Thurs. 5-9 p.m., Fri. and Sat. 5-10 p.m. Garvin Park, Evansville. $7-$25 per vehicle, depending on number of people. Largest winter light show in Indiana benefits local children and adults with disabilities. Annual drive-through event features a mile of sparkling lights with approximately 60 elaborate "fantasyland" scenes. Location: Banterra Bank in Newburgh
Beginning Monday, 12/1, Banterra Bank will host an art show for talented Castle High School art students. The public is encouraged to stop by Banterra Bank, on Highway 261 in Newburgh next to the Buehler’s Buy-Low to show their support & vote for their favorite art piece. The show will last 3 weeks with new art rotating in each week. Voting is Free & takes place during normal banking hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-4pm, Friday 9am-6pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm. Each week the votes will be tallied and a winner will be determined. The overall winner will receive a $1,000 savings bond from Banterra Bank. To determine the overall winner, all weekly winners will be brought back for a final week of voting.
